Current: Re-elected to the 10th National Parliament as the Member for Maprik Open Seat in the National General Election 2017. Appointed Minister for Agriculture and Livestock in the Marape-Steven Government on 07/06/19 following the formation of the Maraper-Steven Cabinet, currently affiliated with the PANGU Pati, 2nd term in this Parliament.
Past: First elected to the 9th National Parliament for the Maprik Open Electorate seat in the 2012 General Elections as a National Alliance Party candidate. Appointed Chairman to Foreign Affairs and Defence and D/Chairman to Constitutional Laws, Acts and Subordinate Legislation Parliamentary Committees in August 2012. Appointed Deputy Speaker of Parliament after the passing of Late Aide Ganase (Former Deputy Speaker) in the O'Neill-Dion Government. Appointed Shadow Minister for Commerce & Industry, Labour & Industrial Relations in the Pruaitch led opposition, he then resigned from the National Alliance Party including the Opposition to join the Government. Appointed Assistant Speaker on 29/09/2017. Left the National Alliance to join the People's National Congress in 2017. Cleared by the Leadership Tribunal on 10/02/2020 for allegations of misappropriation and abuse of office. Served as caretaker Minister for Health and HIV/AIDS on 16//11/2020 to 19/12/20.
Religion: Christianity - Pentecostal
Secondary Education: Completed his Grade 10 from Maprik High School.
Tertiary Education: Completed several Business Studies and Accounting courses from UPNG, Bankers College and Lae University of Technology.
Achievements: Obtained several Certificates in Business Studies and Accounting from the University of Papua New Guinea, Bankers College (POM) in 1987 and Lae University of Technology in 1989.
Last Occupation Prior to Elections: Managing Director of Deborah's Group of Companies for 12 years; Businessman.
