Functions of the Committee

1. The Committee shall be established at the commencement of each Parliament.
2. The Committee shall consist of seven Members.
3. The Committee has responsibility in matters concerning law and order and shall;
   • Review and report on matters of law and order referred to it by Parliament; and
   • Investigate and report on such other related matters as the Committee considers appropriate; and
   • Liaise with other bodies concerned with law and order.
4. The Committee has power to send for persons, papers and records and to act during recess.
5. The quorum for a meeting of the Committee is three.
